 Monday- BBQ Chicken Sliders; French Fries; Corn

Tuesday- Biscuits & Sausage Gravy

Wednesday- Cheesy Chicken Divan


Thursday- Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta Bake; Corn


Friday- Football Friday (Find your own dinner night)

2 cans refrigerated biscuits- $0.99 each
1 can cream of celery soup- $0.49
2 cans cream of chicken soup- $0.49 each
1 box (32oz) chicken broth- $1.19
1 bottle BBQ sauce- $0.99
1 box chicken stuffing- $0.89
1 bag shredded sharp cheddar cheese- $1.98
2 jars Alfredo sauce- $1.69 each
1 box ready to cook bacon- $2.46
1 bag shredded swiss cheese- $1.99


2 packets Pioneer gravy mix- $0.88 each
1 lb breakfast sausage- $2.08
1 bag frozen mixed vegetables- $1.00
1 can diced potatoes- $0.50
1 bag slider rolls- $1.84
1 bag frozen french fries- $1.68

*I buy two 10lb bags of frozen chicken breasts at Sam’s Club. The cost per dinner works out to be $1.67. 

*I buy rice in bulk from Sam’s Club once a month. The cost per dinner works out to be $0.45.

*I don’t include the cost of staples that I keep on hand such as oil, spices, milk, soy sauce, etc.

*There are quite a few items I buy at Sam’s Club that will be used all month long- like sour cream and shredded cheese- so I don’t include them in my cost per meal breakdown but I do include them in my overall budget. 

*Frozen chicken, frozen corn, sour cream, and shredded mexican cheese were included in week One’s cost breakdown. 

Cost Breakdown Per Meal:

Chicken Fried Rice- $3.07

Chicken Pot Pie Soup- $5.36

BBQ Chicken Sliders, French Fries, Corn- $7.16

Biscuits & Sausage Gravy- $5.82

Cheesy Chicken Divan- $6.43

Chicken cordon Bleu pasta bake, corn- $9.53

Total Cost for Week 3 Meals: $37.37 (average of $6.23 per meal)

    Yay, your meal plans are back! I’m incredibly lazy and your plans remind me to make my own. Plus, unlike 90% of the recipes I get in the email from sites like allrecipes and Food Network, my family will eat what I make when I’m using your recipes.
