I live with a family full of carnivores. I’m fairly certain their motto is “the more meat, the better”. No matter how much meat I put into a dish they always ask for more meat when I make it again. So when I saw a recipe for a crockpot stew that included double the meat I figured why not tweak it and make it with triple the meat. Surely that would satisfy the carnivores, right? Guess what? They still asked for more meat. I give up.
2 cups chopped cooked chicken
2 cups sausage crumbles
1 lb ground beef, cooked and drained
2 cans (28oz each) crushed tomatoes
2 cans corn, drained
8 oz tomato sauce
1 can sweet peas
1. Combine all ingredients in crockpot.
2. Cook on High for 3 hours.
Everyone enjoyed this stew. It’s really a hearty meal, full of both meat and veggies. I didn’t know if the kids would eat it but they did. I served it with cheese on top and breadsticks on the side. This recipe made a ton so we ate leftovers for days!
