I think I’ve mentioned a time or two, or maybe closer to a hundred, how much I love coffee. It ranks right up there with chocolate and wine in my life- neither of which I can live without. I like a variety of coffee- different flavors and especially different creamers. I get bored easily. This is something that drives Matt insane. He is very much a staunch advocate of black coffee with a “good coffee tastes like coffee and doesn’t need creamer” kind of attitude. I’ve made it my mission in life, one of them anyway, to broaden his horizons with respect to coffee. He so far has not been very appreciative of my attempts to broaden said horizons, which means I had to get creative. Or sneaky, depending on how you look at it. I prefer creative- sneaky just sounds so…sneaky.
I took Matt’s boring cup of freshly brewed, plain black coffee and added a couple of scoops of Maxwell House International to his mug. I used the Vanilla Bean flavor to start with- you know, to ease him into the situation. Then I handed him the mug of coffee and sat back to watch. For the first couple of sips he didn’t say anything. But then he stared at his mug for a minute. Finally he asked if I bought a new brand of coffee. He admitted it tasted great…he even admitted it was better than his regular plain ol’ cup of black coffee. Stop the presses, y’all. This coffee argument has been going on in our house for 17 years and always ends with him declaring his coffee off-limits to my flavorful creamers and delightful new blends. I finally got the man to admit he liked something I added to his coffee.
Have you tried Maxwell House International? You can enjoy it as a café style coffee beverage for a flavorful and creamy coffee experience. Or bring some romance to your cup of coffee by trying it in a new way as a creamer. Just add a few spoonfuls to a cup of coffee and taste the difference. You can try it for yourself with a free sample, (while supplies last) or get a coupon. For a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card, tell me which Maxwell House International flavor you would like to try to spice up your regular coffee? There are so many to choose from, including French Vanilla, Vanilla Nut, Hazelnut, Suisse Mocha, Vanilla Caramel, and Café Vienna, to name a few!
