Truth or Lies: Part Deux Reveal

I totally forgot to come back and post my answers to the second Truth or Lies post. I swear, my mind used to actually work. It was nice. Ahhh…good times. If you’ve forgotten the original post, here it is.

10 Fictional Facts Reveal

1. When I was in high school my dream was to work for the FBI in counter-terrorism.

False. I wanted to work in the FBI but I wanted to be a profiler, not work in counter-terrorism. Most of my college classes were geared towards a degree in Criminal Psych but when I transferred schools the new college didn’t offer that degree.

2. I once made a security guard cry.

True. When I was in high school I was shopping at the mall with a few friends. The security guard, who happened to be young and mean, stopped me and accused me of shoplifting. Then he proceeded to “frisk” me in the hallway near a bathroom. He hands wandered a little too close to the promised land and I tried to un-descend his testicles for him. He cried.

3. I used to have a pen pal in prison.

True. It was part of my high school criminal justice class. My pen pal’s name was Georgia and she was convicted of killing her husband and his mistress with a meat cleaver. I liked Georgia.

4. When I was in high school I had a stalker.

True. And it was really scary. I was a waitress and he came into the restaurant one time. I was nice to him and it all escalated from there. He stalked me for about 8 months until I left for college and a good guy friend beat the tar out of him to discourage his “attention”. This guy was creepy. One day I’ll tell you all the whole story.

5. My best friend at age 17 was a guy who taught me how to take down a grown man without a weapon.

True. See above answer about my high school stalker.

6. I have taken down a grown man without a weapon.

True. Although I have to confess that it was mostly adrenaline and less technique. Also, I got very lucky. And I hope I never have to try it again.

7. I once almost knocked myself out while learning to shoot a gun.

True. The first time my dad took me to the shooting range when I was 12 I almost knocked myself out and nearly broke my nose because I underestimated the recoil of the gun. In retrospect it is hilarious but at the time it was so humiliating.

8. I haven’t seen my natural hair color in 20 years.

False. I’m actually sporting my natural mud brown color right now. I need to get my hair colored and high lighted but there just aren’t enough hours in the day or days in the week to get everything done. I must admit though, this is the first time since I was 18 that my hair has been it’s natural color.

9. I have lived in one state my entire life.

True. I have lived in 5 different cities and 9 different homes all in one state. One day I want to live at the beach. That’s my dream place to live.

10. One of my closest friends from childhood joined a cult after high school.

False. Actually she joined a cult while we were still in high school. She shaved her head totally bald, got some weird tattoo on her bald head, and started chanting on a regular basis. It was creepy. Nobody has heard from her since.

So how many did you get right? How well do you know me?
