{Post Notes is a monthly feature that showcases different posts from around the blogosphere that made me smile, laugh, or cry, made me think, or taught me something new. If you like what I link, please leave them a comment and let them know where you came from}

What To Expect When You Are Expecting v 2.0 Reality at Kvetch Mom. This post is pure awesome. It’s no secret that I think Jen is amazing. I have a total girl crush on her and posts like this one are the reason why. Go read it. Now.

There’s Been a Change of Plans at Dear Harrison. I introduced you to Michael’s blog last month. This post is  written about the adoption of his son, Harrison. It is heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time. Being a part of the adoption triad, I read this one with my heart in my throat!

Quietly Choking at Pesky Pippi. I could feel myself tensing up while I read this post about Pippi choking in a room full of people. The same thing happened to me as a child and I am still traumatized! Pippi’s post is a great reminder to call attention to yourself if you need help!

Time Marches On (and tramples my body) at Hollow Tree Ventures. Robyn never fails to make me laugh out loud when I read her blog. I mean seriously, she is hysterically funny. And as someone who is now closer to 40 than 30 I could really relate to this post. Sigh.

I Tried to Make Cake Pops at Mom of the Year. Yet another shining example of how Pinterest has ruined us all forever. Don’t fret Meredith, my cake pops turned out way worse than yours. Way worse. It was a massacre.

There’s No Crying in Baseball at Werdyab. I snorted, then laughed my butt off at this post. Read it and you will know exactly why I discourage my children from the whole t-ball/baseball thing.

I Like My Kids, Not Yours at Write, Rinse, Repeat. Oh my gosh, she hit the nail on the head with this one. Especially applicable considering the issues we’ve been having with some kids showing up unannounced in our backyard lately.

I Effed My Husband Real Good at Your Doctor’s Wife. Oh my gosh, was this funny! And totally something I would do too. Poor Husbands. snort. I couldn’t even type that with a straight face.

The Good, The Bad, and The U-G-L-Y at Life After I Dew. Shannon made me laugh out loud with this post because my friends facebook pages are all full of pictures of me just like the ones she posted. Yet they all seem to look amazing and thin. What gives?

The Real Cost of Raising A Child at Sellabit Mum. I have at least 1 kid who is going to need braces, maybe 2. Tracy had me hyperventilating as I read through her breakdown of the cost of raising a kid in today’s world. Please pass the wine.

Before, After AND After at Mama Wants This! Alison tells us all about life before kids, after 1 kid, and after 2 kids. Hysterical! And so very true. I know you mamas will totally relate to this post and giggle just as much as I did.

The Newest Silent G at The G is Silent. Oh my heart. In this post Kim announced the finalization of the adoption of her son! It was a super happy day that has been a long time coming and I am so happy for them. Go over and tell them Congrats!

Blog Snobs at A Momma’s Desires and Pacifiers. I love this post. I’d never read Raven’s blog before and saw a link to this post on the twitter. With a title like Blog Snobs, I had to read it. She makes some great points! You should go read this one for sure!

How to Deal with Blog Trolls at Things I Can’t Say. This post by Shell was so well-timed. As I may have mentioned a time or two, I dealt with some seriously hateful blog trolls a couple of weeks ago. I spent hours dealing with deleting comments and blocking IP addresses. I started in Stage 1 and progressed rapidly to Stage 3. A great read for anyone with a blog!

I was a teenage bully at The Bearded Iris. A very open, honest, and heartfelt post from Leslie about the lessons she learned from being a bully. Plus tips on how to help your child deal with bullies. Fabulous post that I consider a Must Read for anyone with kids!

    WOW – thanks for including a reformed bully like me Delilah! I am truly humbled that you liked it enough to share. It was a hard one to write, and a break from my usual schtick, so it’s extra nice to be noticed for it. Thank you!

    I am so woefully behind in my blog reading. How do you and so many of these writers produce such great content AND read and comment so many places?? You guys are amazing. I need to go read that Blog Snob post first, just in case my extreme laziness is translating as snobbery. YIKES!
